
I had an amazing time kicking off Pride Month by participating in Drag Story Hour at the second annual Haircuts for Humans event. It was a great event benefiting Arizona Trans Youth & Parent Organization (AZ TYPO). The organization provides support and assistance for trans* youth and their parents, families.
I had a chance to be one of the two co-hosts of the story hour. The first queen to read was Lady Sandy. I loved her pink and pink gown, of course!
I read three books during the hour. The kids and parents alike loved the stories. I read the following books:
- “Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag” by Rob Sanders
- “The Boy Who Cried Fabulous” by Lesléa Newman
- “This Day in June” by Gayle E. Pitman
