Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and the call to end slavery in 1866. This was two years after the Emancipation Proclamation by Abraham Lincoln. It’s important to celebrate the freedoms of slaves in the United States and was just signed in as federal holiday in the United States by the Senate, Congress and President Joe Biden.
