Get ready for an unforgettable episode of Live! with Fefe & Freddy this Wednesday as I welcome the incredible Victor Yates, an award-winning writer, typewriter poet, and content creator. This conversation promises to be inspiring, insightful, and filled with the magic of storytelling.

Victor is a true creative force. He’s the author of A Love Like Blood, a powerful debut novel that earned the 2016 Lambda Literary Award for LGBT Debut Fiction. His poetry and advocacy work have also been widely recognized, including the 2020 George Floyd Honorarium for Poetry and the Judith A. Markowitz Award for Emerging LGBTQ Writers.

Beyond his literary accolades, Victor’s talents extend to the visual and performing arts. He’s a Fire Island Artist Residency alum and a member of Pride Poets, a queer typewriter collective. On YouTube, he creates content that educates, entertains, and celebrates queer identity.

This year, Victor is stepping into the spotlight in a whole new way—as a contestant on For the Love of DILFs, a reality gay dating show that premiered on November 26 on OUTtv. I can’t wait to hear about his experience on the show and what it was like to balance his creative passions with reality TV.

We’ll also explore Victor’s plans for the 2025 Association of Writers and Poets (AWP) Conference, where he will speak as part of Pride Poets.

Join me live on Wednesday at 8 p.m. MST/Arizona time on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch for an engaging conversation about art, love, and the power of storytelling.

You won’t want to miss this! Be sure to follow Victor on social media @writervicyates, and tune in for what promises to be a remarkable episode.
