In Season 14, Episode 16 of Live! with Fefe & Freddy, we invited our audience into a conversation that moved from personal reflections to powerful global headlines.

We started by catching everyone up on our week. Freddy has been deep in costume prep for upcoming shows while holding things down at home. I shared about hosting drag bingo at Chismimosa at Testal in Phoenix, benefiting Phoenix Allies for Community Health.

In “Just the Tip,” we talked about books. Reading used to be a huge part of our lives, and we admitted we want to make more space for it again. We shared why reading matters — it reduces stress, strengthens empathy, improves focus, and expands perspective. We gave personal recommendations across genres, including fantasy, sci-fi, queer literature, and classics. From Watership Down and Something Wicked This Way Comes to Tipping the Velvet and Anne Rice’s Pandora, we celebrated stories that shaped us creatively and emotionally.

We then shifted to current events: the State of the Union, political protest moments, corporate pushback over tariffs, a safely resolved Amber Alert, and local Arizona headlines. We celebrated representation wins — including the Netherlands swearing in its first openly gay prime minister and a Black queer animated short film winning a BAFTA. We also highlighted Spectrum Medical expanding LGBTQ+ healthcare access right here in Phoenix.

This episode reflects who we are — informed, creative, community-rooted, and unafraid to talk about what matters.
